Since I was gone over Father's Day, I thought it might be nice to give a little shout-out to my dad. And I just happen to have a recent project to show off that Dad helped with:
Thanks Dad! And happy Father's Day!!!

I'm not sure if he understood my vision ("You want to do what?"), but Dad cheerfully agreed to saw my little table in half. I'm sure it was all because of his fatherly love and support and had absolutely nothing to do with his love of power tools. Right???
He removed the table base.....
.....and then sawed the top in two.....
.....we attached brackets.......
.......painted and mounted the tables......and viola!
(I also painted the brackets the wall color so they would blend in better.)
Thanks Dad! And happy Father's Day!!!

P.S. Don't forget that my sister's custom embroidered art giveaway ends today. Enter now if you haven't already!

I really like how that turned out! Great idea! I especially love the detailing on the wood, so fun!
I LOVE that picture of you and Dad. It's so sweet. Thanks for mentioning my giveaway again! I appreciate it!
What a clever idea. Dad's are the greatest!
Wow, love this project! So nice to have a handy Dad!
Oops- I meant let's -hear- it for the dads!
That looks soo good! Love the wall color, too.
SO CUTE! I have a bunch of little tables like that one. I may have to cart one out to my table saw.
The tables and the plates are adorable. I love, love, love the paint color in your entry. Maybe you've already mentioned it in another post and I missed it, but I'd love to know the name of the color.
thanks!
Thanks everyone! The color is "Granite Dust" by Valspar (color-matched to Behr paint). It is in our dining room, living room and foyer. I absolutely love it and would definitely recommend it!
Wow this looks great!! You are brave! Is that table one of those with the lion feet? I just found one, I'm not into lion or their feet or lion draw pulls so I will be changing it and painting it! What is this area of your house??
Holly, it did have lion-type feet. I'd love to see what you do with your table.
This is our foyer, right next to our dining room and living room.
Thanks for stopping by!
I love the wall color! Do you happen to remember the name and brand? :)
Laura Beth, It's Granite Dust by Valspar (color-matched to Behr paint). I really like it -- it's in our dining room and living room as well. Thanks for stopping by!
