*This post has nothing to do with anything that I normally write about. So feel free to skip it. Unless you want to see some furry adorableness.*
When we went to Ethiopia last year to bring home our babies, I discovered that I have a thing for donkeys.
I mean, seriously, how cute is he?
When we went back this summer, there were donkeys everywhere. I decided I needed a photo with one.
Adorable.
And then I decided that maybe I could pet one?
He acted like he was really excited to ride the donkey, but I think he was just doing it so I would feel like I could ride, too. He's a really sweet guy, but really. I didn't need that much convincing.
I did it. I rode a donkey. In Uganda. It wasn't on my 30 Before 30 list before, but it is now. And it's checked off. Woot!
I've now made it my goal to convince my parents that they need a donkey for their farm. And look what I just found on craigslist:
A miniature donkey! How sweet is he?

P.S. Apparently I'm not the only one. I Suwanee has a recurring "Donkey of the Day" feature with photos of cute donkeys. Love it!

(Excuse my airplane-ready, super-conservative Uganda-approved outfit.)
And then my new friend Innocent showed me how it's done. On a donkey ride. At the zoo. He acted like he was really excited to ride the donkey, but I think he was just doing it so I would feel like I could ride, too. He's a really sweet guy, but really. I didn't need that much convincing.
